Meet Kate Aishton
Kate knows how to manage legal risk while building something great.
As a founding partner at KTM Legal, Kate advises clients from pre-launch startups to on how to mitigate legal risk while building and scaling products. Before the firm’s launch, her practice Aishton Law, PC helped companies from five employees to the Fortune 100 manage data-related legal risk for three years. It was, apparently, the world’s first solo legal practice dedicated to product counseling.
Kate came to tech from the policy world, working on broadband regulation and wireless spectrum issues in DC and earning her JD from Georgetown Law. Kate led Instagram's product legal teams for eight years, covering privacy engineering, algorithmic ranking and machine learning, private messaging, and major launches including Stories, Reels, and NFTs. She now lives in the Bay Area.
